Mangue Seco Blissfull Weekend With Friends

Alrighty!
I just came back from a brilliant weekend with friends, lots of bugs, beautiful beaches, dunes, and good food :)
On the last minute, when i thought i'd have to spend the weekend sitting home doing nothing, a good friend of mine called and asked if i wanted to go with them to his beach house in Mangue Seco, Sergipe, right after Bahia. Honestly at first i thought i wouldn't go, but then i had to ask myself for a better reason why not to, cause i had literally nothing to do at home and even though i do not love to go to the beach, it couldnt be such a bad option after all..and there i went, and there's no regrets! :)
You know, when you think you say a lot of "no" and not so many "yes" to things, you should try to re-think that. Saying more yeses gives you more oportunities and a lot more good memories. I'm saying this cause i think of myself as someone who usually says more "no" than "yes", or i used to do so. I just added saying more yes on my ever lasting to do list, along with the less partying and more travelling i mentioned before.

It was great seeing friends i havent seen in such a long time, have a good laugh at pretty much all times and just chill :)
On the first day we chilled at the beach close to the house till the sun was almost out. It was a good way to start.. day two was the day of the confederate cup's finals! we watched it together while me and two others were cooking dinner and preparing a evening BBQ, that after another whole day at this beach called Ponta do Saco, where river meets the sea, yup, we had it all!!

(day one - chillin' at the beach in front of our house)
(day 1 - never ending beach )

(good way to cool it off)

To get to Ponta do Saco beach on the second day, we rented two dune buggies, crossed the dunes and after about 15 to 20 mins we finally got there. If you have the chance to visit this place, know that there's no eletric energy at the beach or bars with it hahaha there's only a floating bar and a few other bars on the beach, but other than that there's not much at the beach. It is suuuch a paradise, a place to go and forget about everything else. It's quite deserted really, you wont see many people there, wich is nice (i like deserted places, quiet places).

The real treat was the sunset on the way back home at the dunes though, it was amaaazing! *.*

After such relaxing day, cooking that dinner was easy!! ;) And also fun, cause Brazil won the match against Spain. (i still think that was bought though...) We ate like hell, drinked a whole lot of wine and went to bed already missing the weekend that was just ending..still, what a great one it was!! Perfect touch to my summery winter.

Next time i write here i'll most likely be back in Rio.. winter break is almost over :'' So sorry for the extremely long post, but i wanted to show as much as i could of this lovely place. Hope you enjoy and that onde day you can visit this paradise yourself :))

ps.all the pictures were taken by me, yesshhhh.

I literally just finished reading "Silver Linings Playbook" and i must say that considering how the film went out, the book surprised me quite a lot! Must i say that i loved how the story of the misfit Pat Peoples kept going on and on through his crazy "delusions" and just how things turned out beautifully in some way ^^" I wont spoil it here guys, don't worry! You have to read it yourself if you wanna know the true story =P

You know what? I think in the end life can be really crapy, but if you look hard enough you'll see there are some silver linings ;) And oon to the new nice place i went to visit todaay :)
Paquetá is not a very exciting place considering the dirty water from the beach and the smell of horse poop/dog poop....it is though such a calm place that you put these things said before aside so you can go there for a day relax a bit, get out of the crazy daily rush from the city of Rio.

It is a really small island 50/60 from Rio, you get a ferry from Rio (Praça XV) to Paquetá and only pays 4,80 reais for the ticket. You can go there for a great relaxing weekend as well, one of those you want to just lay down all day without the city sounds, read a good book and again, relax.

Overall is not such a bad scenery, see?! :) Even though, there are some other places in the state of Rio, like Ilha Grande that will serve you the same way and it's a hundred times prettier and enjoyable than Paquetá, then again, since it is this better, it is more expensive and there are a lot more tourists, etc etc. (I'll make a post about Ilha Grande here some time in the future ;) )

Anyway, my next travelling destination will be Bahia, my lovely homestate and on to my hometown, Salvador :) Maybe i'll make a post about it as well, if i'm not too busy being lazy enjoying the comfort of my home and my parents food :D

I'll see you soon,

Cheerie Cheers,

Jess ;)
